Michael Unmüßig Managing Partner
Michael Unmüßig is an experienced IT entrepreneur and business angel who began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 18 by founding his first company in the printer accessories sector. Under his leadership, the company developed into one of the leading European manufacturers. With over 160 employees, it was successfully acquired by a strategic US investor in 2012.
Following this exit, he co-founded findbox GmbH with Thomas Schwarz, a company specializing in retail technology. Based on artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision, IoT (Internet of Things) and AI solutions were developed for the digitalization of retail. In 2016, Findbox was acquired by the publicly listed VusionGroup in Paris (formerly SES-imagotag).

Thomas Schwarz, Managing Partner
Thomas Schwarz combines profound business expertise with many years of leadership experience in the international technology sector. After studying and obtaining an MBA, he took on early operational responsibility as CFO and COO at K&U Printware, where he significantly created the structures for the dynamic growth of the company.
In 2012, he co-founded findbox GmbH as Co-CEO with Michael Unmüßig. He successfully guided the high-tech startup through all phases of scaling until the exit to the publicly listed VusionGroup. His focus was on operations, product development, and building and managing robust supply chains in Asia.
Most recently, he drove the market penetration of AI-based retail solutions as CEO of VusionGroup Germany and Captana. As a driving force in product development, he was primarily responsible for the design of complex hardware products and their integration into scalable IoT, cloud, and mobile architectures using big data as well as cutting-edge AI and computer vision.
